Electrical Contractor Prequalification. Generally, without limiting the scope of the project, the work covered by this pre-qualification covers the following: - Installation, testing, and commissioning support for temporary controls if required to support the site cut-over strategy - Removal and disposal of existing equipment, including control panels, control stations, and junction boxes - Receiving, delivery and set-up of materials on-site as necessary - General Site Safety - Installation of new electrical equipment, including control panels, control stations, and junction boxes - Installation/replacement of field device wiring as required - Supply and install of cast-in-place (CIP) concrete housekeeping pads as needed for control panel floor mounting - Supply / provision and installation / modification of all required conduit, raceway, cable tray, cables, wires, and junction boxes. - Termination and labeling of all cabling and wiring - Installation of new Distribution Panel breakers - Replace Rockwell ControlLogix and CompactLogix processors with newer versions (1756-L83 and 5069-L330ER) - Replace existing discontinued Rockwell 1756 6-point analog cards with the newer 1756 8-point analog cards - Replace power supplies and work area outlets - Replace obsolete equipment - Installation of new Horizontal cabling between PLC panels, and between PLC panels and network enclosures including supply of all necessary cabling in conformance with the latest Region of Waterloo standards - Network cable testing and validation including the supply of detailed testing reports - Retagging of Instruments and devices to conform to the current naming standard - Test and confirm accuracy of all new or modified wiring back to the termination point - Obtaining of necessary permits and inspections - Support for Commissioning and Site Acceptance testing - Decommissioning and removal of any temporary works required to support the cut over strategy. - In some cases, minor mechanical works (e.g. piping or valve replacements, temporary piping for commissioning testing) may be included in the scope of work proponents should be prepared to complete this work either with a mechanical sub-contractor, or own forces.
