Disadvantaged Business Enterprises are encouraged to bid. Establish a contract for Filtration Systems Media Replacement at Lakeview Avenue Pump Station Bayport, NY and Astor Avenue Pump Station Saint James, NY. The work shall be completed by December 5, 2025. Addendum No. 2 - May 23, 2025 : QA The Contractor shall supply potassium permanganate (KMnO4) or other chemicals as required for conditioning the filter media. SCWA reserves the right to specify the regeneration chemical and hereby specifies its preference for KMnO4 for greensand plus media. Contractor will provide all equipment necessary to make up the required KMnO4 solution and treat the filter beds. A representative of the Authority must be present to ensure filters are properly isolated from the system and to assist with conditioning and rinsing the filter beds.
