Awarded contractor cannot be added to contacts, unable to locate the awarded contractor through CRM and Google.** Odessa College is seeking bids for the removal of existing bathtubs and installation new bathtubs in the Century Commons Dormitory, ensuring proper plumbing, waterproofing, and finish work. Remove existing bathtub and install a new bathtub in the same location, ensuring proper plumbing, waterproofing, and finish work. 1. Demolition & Removal o Shut off water supply to the bathroom. o Remove existing bathtub, including: o Surrounding tile or wall panels o Faucet, spout, and drain o Old caulk, adhesive, and support framing (if necessary) o Haul away and dispose of old bathtub and debris in compliance with local regulations. 2. Plumbing Work o Inspect and update plumbing connections (drain, overflow, and water supply lines). o Adjust or replace drain and overflow assembly to match the new tub. o Install new faucet, spout, and shower diverter (if part of the project). 3. Subfloor & Framing (If required) o Inspect subfloor for water damage; repair or replace as needed. o Adjust or rebuild framing to properly support the new bathtub. 4. Bathtub Installation o Install new bathtub with proper leveling and support. o Connect all plumbing fixtures and verify watertight connections. o Seal joints with waterproof caulking. 5. Wall Surround Installation o Install waterproof backer board (e.g., cement board or equivalent). o Install new wall surround (tile, acrylic panels, or fiberglass), including waterproofing membrane if tiling. o Grout and seal if tile is used. 6. Finishing Work o Reinstall or replace trim, baseboards, and any damaged drywall. o Paint or touch up wall as necessary. o Test all plumbing fixtures and verify drainage. o Clean work area and dispose of all waste. o Materials o New bathtub o Faucet and trim set o Drain/overflow kit o Tile or wall panels o Waterproofing materials o Fasteners, caulking, etc. Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the the Purchase Order. Odessa College shall have the right to cancel for default of all or any part of the undelivered portion of this contract if the Awarded Bidder breaches any of the terms hereof including warranties. Odessa College reserves the right to cancel an awarded contract in the event the scope of work must change due to unforeseen circumstances or change orders exceed 25% of the total contract. Odessa College will determine the reimbursable expenses if any deemed to be solely from the expense occurred from this contract or if the Awarded Bidder becomes insolvent or commits acts of bankruptcy. Such right of cancellations in addition to and not in lieu of any remedies which Odessa College may have in law or equity.
