A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The purpose of the project is rehabilitate the existing 2.0 million gallon concrete ground storage tank at Plant No. 5. Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the Hicksville Water District, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informalities and to accept such bid which, in the opinion of the Owner, is in the best interests of the Owner. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Project closeout submittals. 2. High pressure water cleaning of concrete tank exterior. 3. Partial temporary containment. 4. Community Air Monitoring Plan (CAMP). 5. Exterior concrete tank repairs. 6. Exterior concrete tank coating system. 7. Roof vent modification. 8. Miscellaneous ladder repairs, surface preperation, and painting. 9. Miscellaneous ladder safety climb system hardware replacements.
