Construction of approximately 5,540 linear feet of 66-inch diameter welded steel water line with all necessary valves and appurtenances from SWSP Contract KM-4 to SWSP Contract KM-2, and approximately 75 linear feet of 12-inch ductile iron pipe to connection points with CIP Contract KM-7. Scope of Work of the Contract includes the following: Construction of approximately 5,540 linear feet of 66-inch diameter welded steel water line with all necessary valves and appurtenances from Contract KM-4 to Contract KM-2, and approximately 75 linear feet of 12-inch ductile iron pipe to connection points from Contract KM-7. The proposed water line installation will consist of primarily open cut construction; however, trenchless methods are required at crossings of HCFCD facilities, City of Houston (COH) roads, CenterPoint Energy Overhead Power Towers, and crossing of private/public utilities. Additional, the Work requires installation of air valves, pre-cast concrete manholes, cathodic protection facilities, and removal and replacement of backslope swales and storm sewers owned and maintained by HCFCD, existing fencing, and pavement surfaces (concrete, asphalt, and gravel).
