Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Warwick, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

Attention of Bidders is particularly referred to the Federal and State requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and wage rates to be paid under the Contract as determined by the Department of Labor and Industries under the provision of Chapters 12 and 13 of Title 37, General laws of Rhode Island, 1956, as amended. For a bid to be awarded to a corporation, limited liability company or other legal entity, prior to commencing work under the awarded bid, that corporation, company or legal entity may berequired to provide to the Purchasing Agent a Certificate of Good Standing from The Rhode Island Secretary of State dated no more than thirty (30) days prior to the date upon which the bid approval was made. Please note that no other State's Certificate of Good Standing will be accepted. The successful bidder must provide the City of Warwick said Certificate of Insurance with limits listed in Section 00500 Table A, bonds, and State of Rhode Island's Certificate of Good Standing within ten (10) calendar days after notification or the City reserves the right to rescind said award. The Insurance Certificate shall name the City of Warwick as additionally insured. It is the Contractors responsibility to provide the City of Warwick with an updated Certificate of Insurance upon expiration of the original certificate. Bidder's shall be required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246 and State of Rhode Island Executive Order No. 85-11, as amended. The Bidders attention is also called to the "Equal Opportunity Clause", the "Nondiscrimination in Employment", and the State requirements of the Contract. The successful bidder will be required to conform to all provisions of the Federal Davis-Bacon and Related Acts contractor's and subcontract's to pay prevailing wage rates and fringe benefits, as determined by the Secretary of Labor, for corresponding classes of work. All bids shall comply with the provisions of RIGL 37-2-18. Each bidder must submit a copy of their bid proposal to be available for public inspection upon the opening of the bids. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within Ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The successful Bidder must furnish 100 percent Performance and Labor and Materials Bonds. The Owner and Engineer, being considered the sole and only judge, reserves the right to waive any informalities in, or to reject, any or all bids, should the Owner deem it to be in the owner's. Bid Notes : No bids will be accepted via Facsimile or email. All bids must be sealed. Sealed bids will be received by the Purchasing Division The bids will be opened publicly commencing at 11:00 AM on the same day at 65 Centerville Road, Meeting Room 2. Delivery: If delivering to the Purchasing Division in person or sent by delivery service (FedEx/UPS/DHL etc.) use physical address 65 Centerville Road, Warwick, RI 02886, Suite D. If sent to the Purchasing Division via United States Postal Service use mailing address 3275 Post Road Warwick, Rhode Island 02886. The location, general characteristics, and principal details of the Work are indicated in a set of drawings, entitled "City of Warwick, Rhode Island, State Street Water Pump Station Improvements, Bid No. 2026-033". Scope:- The work in this Contract includes, but is not limited to, removal and disposal of existing plumbing, mechanical & electrical equipment and installation of new plumbing, mechanical, & electrical equipment at the State Street water pump station in the City of Warwick, Rhode Island. Bids will be compared on the basis of the lowest evaluated or responsive bid price. Time for Completion for this project shall be 550 consecutive calendar days from the date stipulated in the Notice to Proceed to commence the Work. The Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to: o Demolition of existing water pump station components including: o Two (2) 10-hp end suction water pumps, concrete pad, piping, valves and appurtenances. o one (1) 50-hp centrifugal horizontal, split case water pump, concrete pad, piping, valves and appurtenances. o One (1) 175-hp engine driven centrifugal horizontal, split case water pump, piping, valves and appurtenances. o Standby diesel fired engine and appurtenances o Interior diesel fuel storage tank, and appurtenances o Electric components, including the motor control center, incoming power supply, lighting, switches, and power receptacles o Instrumentation and control equipment o Construction of new water pump station components including: o Two (2) 50-hp centrifugal horizontal, split case water pumps, piping, valves and appurtenances o Electrical components, including variable frequency drives, incoming power supply, lighting, switches, and power receptacles o Exterior standby natural gas engine/generator with concrete pad, electrical conduits, and appurtenances o Instrumentation and control equipment o Restoration of all disturbed areas o Construction of a temporary water bypass system, including connections to the existing underground supply and discharge piping. o All related civil, heating and ventilation, plumbing, electrical and instrumentation control work, yard piping and site work all as more particularly indicated, shown or described in the Drawings, Specifications, and other Contract Documents.
