Site work and new construction of a medical facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Design plans call for the construction of a medical facility; and for site work for a medical facility.
CCMB new 2nd building project to be located at the southwest corner of Sherbrook St & McDermot Ave. TIMELINE: Pre-design is complete. Schematic design will commence in the near future. The owner issued an RFP for construction management services under a separate report, award of contact is pending & may be awarded by late summer 2026. The Construction Manager will provide construction, cost management & control, value analysis, detailed estimating, milestone & critical path scheduling, attendance to design meetings & reporting. Design & construction will overlap. Early works contract was awarded to Westland Construction. Possible timelines for sub trade tenders are: Foundations -November 2027; Superstructure & Envelope Tenders-February 2028; Interiors-May 2028. Completion date is TBD. Parking Structure tender TBD. Ready for takeover is December 31, 2032 or earlier. The province has announced the cost to be $815 million but could cost up to $1 billion. *Contact names will not be released for publication.
