Bid security may be in the form of a bid bond, certified check or other guaranteed negotiable instrument, or letter of credit. The bid security of the bidders submitting the three lowest bids will be retained until execution of the contract or a maximum of 180 calendar days after bid opening, whichever is sooner. Bid security of the remaining bidders will be returned within 10 calendar days after the bid opening date.
