Underground HDPE Piping Installation The scope of work for this quote pertains to the work to be performed within the perimeter of the Omaha Public Power Districts (District) North Omaha Station. The Contractor shall furnish all labor and equipment to perform the following work outlined by this specification and as shown on the drawings. Materials furnished by the District. The scope of work includes the following activities: A. Demolition, removal, and disposal of the existing 18 HDPE ash water line as shown on Olsson drawing C1.1. Piping to be disposed at on-site dumpsters. B. Demolition, removal, and disposal of the existing 12 HDPE sump water line as shown on Olsson drawing C1.3. Piping to be disposed at on-site dumpsters. C. Installation of a new 8 HDPE process water pond release pipe (8DS01) as shown on Olsson drawing C1.0. This pipe will originate in the new pipe vault and terminate above ground at 6s hole cofferdam area. The flanged end connections will have temporary blanks installed and will be connected to new piping at a future date. D. Installation of new 18 HDPE ash water pipe (18BA01) and a new 18 isolation valve as shown on Olsson drawing C1.1. This new pipe will be connected to the existing pipe near the SFC enclosure (white hoop building) and south of the HEF building. A temporary flanged 18 diameter spool piece will be installed to restore the pond water supply to the ash water holding tank. E. Installation of the precast pipe vault as shown on HDR drawing S-003. The precast vault being supplied by OPPD. Note that the vault is being extended to accommodate the new 18 valve. F. Installation of a new 8 HDPE ash water pipe (8BA01) as shown on Olsson drawing C1.2. This pipe will originate at the bottom ash booster pump house and terminate underground 14 at the SFC enclosure. The flanged end connection at the bottom ash booster pump house will have a temporary blank installed and the pipe at the SFC will be connected to an existing underground pipe. G. Installation of the new 12 HDPE NO4/5 building sump to pond pipe (12DS01) as shown on Olsson drawing C1.3. The new pipe will be connected to the existing pipe near the SFC enclosure and south of the HEF building. H. Installation of the new 2 HDPE clarifier building sump to pond pipe (2DS01) and 2 isolation valve as shown on Olsson drawing C1.3. This pipe will originate at the clarifier building and be connected to the new 12 HDPE pipe. A blind flange will be installed at the clarifier building for future connection to new piping. I. Removal and disposal of excess soil in the location of the new clarifier building and pipe vault as shown on HDR drawing C-102. This work should be performed prior to pipe removal and installation activities. The excess soil to be disposed of at the Loess Hill Regional Sanitary Landfill in Malvern, IA. OPPD responsible for payment of landfill tipping fees. 2.2 The Contractor shall excavate pits and trenches to necessary dimensions, sheet, brace and/or support the adjoining ground structures as necessary and, as required by OSHA; handle all drainage and groundwater; unload, haul, distribute, lay and test the pipe, valves and accessories; test the completed line for covering, water leakage and pressure requirements; backfill the pits and trenches; restore all roadway surfaces; remove surplus excavated materials; and clean the site. 2.3 The Contractor shall apply for all permits and pay all associated Contractor fees such as tapping and inspection fees.
