Renovation of a mixed-use development in Toronto, Ontario. Design plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and multi-residential development.
Redevelopment of the site at 805 Wellington Street West (the "Site", "805 Wellington"), located at the south-east corner of Strachan Avenue and Wellington Street West. The redevelopment of 805 Wellington will maximize the housing delivery opportunity of this site through the development of both a supportive housing program and purpose-built rental housing, including both market rental and affordable rental units TIMELINE: Request for Proposals (RFP) for heritage architects has been awarded. RDH Building Science will work closely with CreateTO, City staff, project stakeholders, and other consultants throughout the project to provide heritage architectural services for this Listed heritage property, building on the previous studies, in order to secure a successful submission and approval of a City-initiated Official Plan Amendment (OPA) and Zoning By-law Amendment (ZBA) applications. Additionally, the successful Respondent will provide support to CreateTO, as required, on its work with Heritage Preservation Services (HPS) and its own consultants, who will the evaluation for designation under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act. Updates may be available spring 2026.
