Renovation of a residential development in Charleston, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
The Housing Authority of the City of Charleston (CHA) will receive sealed bids from qualified contractors interested in providing services for HVAC Split Units to replace the current HVAC units at Williams Terrace Senior Housing, Charleston, SC. The work will be done as needed. CHA has begun replacing the current HVAC units at Williams Terrace Senior Housing as they fail. Several Mitsubishi Split System Units have already been installed. This contract requires the installation of the same system to standardize the systems within each apartment. This scope will also include installation in the Community Room and the Laundry Room. The Units within the Community Room and the Laundry Room will be of a different type, as listed. The contractor must complete the unit cost form. The cost per unit should be based on the installation of the following component parts and any additional parts needed to provide a turnkey system installation. A. EACH APARTMENT WILL RECEIVE THE FOLLOWING: o Mitsubishi 2.0 Ton Condenser MXZ 3C30 . Mitsubishi Fan Coil (HEAD) MSZ GS09 . Mitsubishi Fan Coil (HEAD) MSZ GS18 o Line Set o Condenser Pad and Bracket o Line Set Insulation I Molding o Low/High voltage wiring o Emergency/Disconnect Box o Condensate Pumps o Mounting Hardware o Refrigerant o Electrical Breaker Provide and install a new Mitsubishi 2.0 Ton mini Split Unit with two indoor fan coils to serve the Bedroom and Living Room. Mitsubishi 2.0 Ton model MXZ 3C30 with Mitsubishi Fan coil head units, models MSZ GS09 and MSZ GS18, to cover the bedroom and living room area. o Install pad and support for the new condenser to sit outside of the residential unit. o Install line sets and refrigerant to accommodate the new system. o Insulate all refrigerant lines and conceal them with proper molding. o Repair all access through any wall penetration, and paint with the same color to blend. o All new electrical wiring must be installed from the power panel with the appropriate circuit breaker, as the manufacturer requires. o Electrical surge protectors and pumps must be installed with each head/condenser. o The new Split Unit installed must be commissioned and tested, followed by demonstration and education for the resident and/or facility maintenance technician. o Warranty of product and labor must be submitted with the bid. o All worked areas must be swept and cleaned from dirt and debris. B.
