Renovation of an educational facility in Cheshire, Connecticut. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
A total of $50,000 is requested in 2025-26 for design and $300,000 in 2026-27 to make needed improvements to the electrical distribution within Highland Elementary School. The curr3ent configuration at the school is marginal and unable to meet convenience power requirements to meet IT needs. Virtually every class room contains just two (2) single duplex outlets which is not enough to meet smartboard, workstation, Chromebook cart and accessory power needs. As of May 13 , 2025 ,This project is included in the city's 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
