The current pool deck, made of raw concrete, has become a slip hazard due to its rough and uneven surface, exacerbated by years of cracks and repairs. To address these safety concerns, we propose resurfacing the deck with a material designed to waterproof the existing concrete, maintain an anti-slip surface, and reduce heat absorption. This will provide a safer, cooler walking surface for pool users, enhancing both the functionality and safety of our recreational facility. Implementing this plan will significantly improve the durability of the pool deck and the comfort of our community members during their leisure activities. As of June 18, 2025, this project is included in the Town of Chino Valley's 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed.
