This is a Request for Information (RFI) in anticipation of a potential future procurement under NAICS code: 518210 - Computing Infrastructure Providers, Data Processing, Web Hosting, and Related Services. . This announcement constitutes an RFI for written information only. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals or bids, and no contract will be awarded from this announcement. PWC is conducting market research to determine industry capability and interest in providing WAREHOUSE AUTOMATION SOLUTIONS to support PWC Warehouses. The combination of goods and services required under this anticipated procurement are outlined in Attachment A: Scope of Work. Fayetteville Public Works Commission (PWC), a North Carolina municipal utility providing electric, water, and wastewater services, is seeking information from qualified vendors on warehouse automation technologies and solutions. Our warehouses support construction crews and utility system maintenance operations, where inventory accuracy, cycle counting, material replenishment, and crew accessibility are critical. This RFI is issued for planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for proposal. Information collected will help PWC evaluate current market solutions and define potential requirements for future procurement. PWC operates multiple warehouses responsible for supporting the material needs of utility maintenance and construction crews. These warehouses manage: o Critical spares and utility system components. o PPE and tools. o Surplus and recycling processes. o Vendor-managed inventory through vending machines. PWC seeks to enhance warehouse efficiency and inventory accuracy through automation solutions that complement existing processes while minimizing disruptions to crew operations.
