Tenders shall be accompanied by a certified cheque, payable to the Centre de services scolaires de l'Energie, corresponding to ten per cent (10%) of the amount of the tender, or a tender bond, drawn at the same amount, valid for a period of 45 days from the opening date of tenders. This guarantee shall be redeemed at the signature of the contract for a performance guarantee and a guarantee of obligations for pledges, materials and services as mentioned in the general terms and conditions of the tender documents. Where these guarantees are in the form of a bond, the amount of each guarantee is 50% of the contract price and when they are in the form of a certified cheque, the amount of each guarantee is 10% of the contract price.
