The work of this Contract includes improvements to Fischer-Hallman Road (Regional Road #58) and Westmount Road (Regional Road #50) at the Victoria Street intersections, in the City of Kitchener. The scope of work includes the following construction activities and improvements: - Road pavement removals, excavation topsoil stripping and management / disposal of excess soils. - Storm sewer and catchbasin installations and adjustments. - Backfilling, road base granular reinstatement and pavement reconstruction. - Topsoil, seeding and/or sodding including site restoration. - Concrete flatwork including coloured / textured concrete. - Modular retaining walls (gravity). - Grand River Transit (GRT) bus stops improvements. - Multi-use trails, sidewalks and bike lanes. - Temporary and Permanent Pavement Markings. - Utility investigations, relocations and protection / support. - Traffic signal modernization at Fischer-Hallman Road, and installation of temporary / permanent traffic signals at Victoria Street/Westmount Road intersection including, traffic control signal pole bases, conduit installation and coordination with Region Traffic Operations. - Streetlight pole installations, conduit, handwells and appurtenances.
