Site work and paving for a road / highway in Mukilteo, Washington. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Purpose: The City of Mukilteo (Mukilteo)and the City of Everett (Everett) is requesting qualifications (RFQ) from qualified professionals or firms to provide professional services for the public outreach and Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) for the Mukilteo Lane Slope Repair Project.Included in this design are slope stability repairs, street improvements, pedestrian improvements and stormwater infrastructure improvements along the shared portion of Mukilteo Lane. Background The east end of Mukilteo Lane is a local access road that provides access to 16 homes and serves as the primary alternative route to the eastern waterfront including Edgewater Beach Park, the Port of Everett's Barge-Rail Facility, and the undeveloped lot owned by the Tulalip Tribes. The approximate City limit boundary between Everett and Mukilteo lies along the roadway centerline, with the downhill/northern side located in Everett and the uphill/southern side located within Mukilteo. The east end of Mukilteo Lane is located along asteep slope and the pavement shows signs of settlement and instability. As a joint project with the City of Everett, the eastend of Mukilteo Lane was evaluated to determine the nature and costs of repairs necessary to stabilize the roadway with afinal report in 2024 outlining the options for repairs (Exhibit 2). The report was presented to the Mukilteo City Council on March 25, 2024, with a discussion on the 3 options outlined in the study. It was determined that Option 3, a soldier pile walland anchored mesh would be the best option. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
