Inspect, install and replace fire extinguishers county wide ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS/RESPONDENTS ARE HEREBY CAUTIONED NOT TO CONTACT ANY MEMBER OF THE NASSAU COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT STAFF OR OFFICIALS OTHER THAN THE SPECIFIED CONTACT PERSON. Minority and Woman-Owned Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. Nassau County School District would like to receive bids for Fire Extinguisher Inspection and Maintenance for the 2025-2026 school year. This will be a 3 Year contract with the option to renew for 2 (1year) extended contracts. Specification for the inspection includes the following: - All work must be completed by August 10th 2025, on all buses and school board vehicles. As many of the schools as possible, some schools do have a later date. - Inspection will include Fire extinguishers located throughout the school buildings (22 properties), kitchens, buses, and Board-owned vehicle extinguishers. Site locations are listed below with approximate number of extinguishers. - Installation of fire extinguishers in the newly constructed structures including relocatable classrooms. - Inspections will be conducted in accordance with applicable NFPA standards. - Repairs and maintenance include but are not limited to recharging of extinguishers, replacement of extinguishers, hydrostatic testing, and certification of compliant equipment.
