Renovation of an educational facility in Kearney, Nebraska. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 4,712-square-foot educational facility.
Project consists of Architectural finishes, GWB, painting, acoustical ceilings, wood doors with hollow metal frames, mechanical work, and electrical work. Total work area for Phase 2 encompasses 4,712 square feet of renovation. Bid Security is required to be submitted with bid proposal form. Make payable to ESU 10 in the amount of 5% of the Lump Sum Bid Amount. Bid Security shall be of cashiers check, certified check, or Bid Bond issued by a Surety licensed to conduct business in the State of Nebraska. Bid Bond form is AIA Document A310. Any agent signing a bid bond on behalf of the Surety must attach a Power of Attorney effectively evidencing the agent's authority to bind the Surety to the performance of the Bid Bond. Performance Bond: The Contractor shall be required to furnish acceptable bonds to complete the work and pay for all labor and materials used, said bonds to be in the amount of 100% of total amount of the Contract. P Work of this proposed Contract comprises remodeling and demolition, including general construction work. Liquidated damages: Completion of the Project and occupancy is critical for the Owner, therefore the project will include liquidated damages as defined in Section 00 7300 - Supplementary Conditions. A deposit in the amount of $75.00 (made payable to Wilkins Architecture Design Planning, L.L.C.) will be required for each set of bidding documents. If shipping is required there is a non refundable amount determined and made payable to Standard Digital Imaging These checks are to be sent to Standard Digital Imaging prior to receipt of documents. Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers and to pass upon the regularity or waive any irregularities of any bid. The Owner intends, but shall not be required, to interview the two (2) lowest responsible bidders to determine the lowest responsible bidder. Any award of contract shall be made to the lowest responsible bidder, taking into consideration the best interests of the Owner, the quality performance of the Contractor, and his ability to perform the work. The decision to award the contract shall be in the sole discretion of the Owner June 18, 2025: Construction Starts. December 10, 2025: Substantial Completion. 2026 January 15, 2026: Final Completion with Liquidated Damages beginning.
