Sealed bids will be received for the construction of streets, street repair, milling, drainage, minor concrete structures,striping and other items needed in the repair of city streets in the City of Yazoo City, Mississippi . All bids will be taken under advisement for tabulation. All existing structures, if not used in re-construction, are and shall be the sole property of the contractor and shall be removed and disposed of by the contractor at his expense unless specified,otherwise by the specifications.All bids shall be firm and will be effective for a period of Twelve(12) months. The Twelve(12) month time period will begin on date of Notice to Proceed issued by the Owner. Basis of Award: The award, if made, will be made to the lowest qualified bidder(s) on the basis of published per unit cost that is determined to be the lowest and best bid in favor of the City of Yazoo City. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any reason. The City also reserves the right to waive any and all formalities. All bids submitted shall contain on the outside or exterior of the envelope or container of such bid the contractor's current certificate number and no bid shall be opened or considered unless such contractor's current certificate number appears on the outside or exterior of said envelope or container.
