Construction Services for minor renovations at the Microbiology Research Facility (MRF), located on the east bank of the Twin Cities campus. Targeted Group Business (TGB) Inclusion Goal: 13% Project Description (the "Work") The Project includes modifications to provide six small enhanced BSL2 lab spaces. Work will include limited demolition and reconstruction of walls, some doors and frames, finishes, casework, plumbing, and some minor mechanical modifications to support the enhanced function of the spaces. Refer to the attached RFP Documents describing the scope of Work for the Project. The Contract will be a based on a Lump Sum Cost and shall include all fee, bond, insurance, permit, layout, field verification, labor, equipment, materials, shop drawings, demolition, disposal, temporary facilities, protection of property, and cleanup required to complete the Work item as shown on the Construction Documents. A hazardous materials survey was completed. No hazardous materials are expected to be encountered during this Project. BWBR is the Architect/Engineer of Record for the Project. The following goals and requirements apply for this Project: Participation of Targeted Businesses equal to or greater than thirteen percent (13%) of the Base Bid/Proposal costs. No less than 75% of the work or material contracted to the identified TGB enterprise(s) must be performed or supplied by said TGB enterprise(s).
