The City of Rosenberg is seeking quotes from qualified vendors for Shower Remodel at Fire Station No. 2. This project will provide modernized, private shower facilities to enhance the functionality and comfort of our 23-year-old fire station. This is an operating fire station and work will be completed during operating hours. The current configuration of three showers in a shared common room will be remodeled into two individual shower units. Each new shower will have a dividing wall and a door to create a private shower room. The third shower will be removed, and the space will be enclosed and integrated into the adjacent shallow hallway closet. Remove the existing three showers and reconfigure the space to accommodate two private shower units. The area from the third, unused shower will be repurposed to expand the adjacent closet. Work may be completed during regular business hours. Framing o Remove 1 shower completely and frame up the walls to be part of the storage space on the opposite side. o Build and frame a center wall in between the showers. Center wall will be wrapped with tile. o Tear down and expand the opening entrance to the showers to be converted into 2 single showers. o Frame up new single door entrances and install a door to each. Electrical o Run wiring to install individual lights on the shower ceiling with individual switches. o Ensure proper ventilation in both shower stalls. Drywall o Install new moisture resistant drywall inside the new storage space. Tape/float/texture and paint the walls. o Install moisture resistant drywall on the walls above the shower, walls around the shower and the center wall. Tile and Backerboard in Shower o Install shower liner onto the studs o Install cement backer board in the shower on all 3 walls. o Apply waterproof membrane on all walls of the shower and
