Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for outdoor lighting for a bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; road / highway; and road / highway.
Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) for establishing plans for lighting and safety improvements for the concrete trail loop spanning approximately 1.5 miles from Clearfork Main Street around the river. Question Submission Deadline:May 14, 2025, 5:00pm It is the District's intent to have the selected firm create a master plan for establishing a vital trail link which allows pedestrians, cyclists, and other trail users to traverse the river with safety and efficiency. The loop trail may include optional bridges crossing the Trinity River and the Overton Diversion Channel. The objectives of the Master Plan process include: Establish a plan for solar lighting along the designated loop path of existing trails. Analyze the path for utility conflicts and light placement. Provide plan for solar light placement and potential remote solar panel placement for areas with tree cover. Analyze the system for lighting output, light pollution, and ensure dark-sky compliance. Analyze the solar system for the future addition of video cameras and possible emergency call boxes and gunshot detectors. Design lighting system to be programmed to designated Trinity Trail hours. Prepare an asset management plan, including inspection and assessment components, to maximize the useful life of this project. Develop budget estimates for the recommended priority improvements. Provide possible locations, trail connections, design, and budget for two possible future bridges, one over the Trinity River at the southeast end of the project and one across the Overton Diversion Channel. The District will not be held responsible for failure of the Respondent to obtain all related documents. The Tarrant Regional Water District reserves the right to adopt the most advantageous response to the Request for Proposal and other parts of the Contract Documents, or any applicable Statute or Code. Anticipated Award Date: July 15, 2025 A response will be posted for questions submitted by end of day Wednesday, May 14, 2025
