Site work for a water / sewer project in Portage, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Ports of Indiana is issuing this bid package for the underwater grading and dredging at the Burns Harbor port located in Porter County, Indiana. The work consists of underwater grading in the West Harbor Arm. The scope of work includes underwater grading to eliminate high points located within the harbor. Twelve separate areas, totaling approximately 0.22 acres have been identified, accounting for approximately 318 cubic yards of material. Five separate areas were identified as potential deposit areas for the relocated materials from the underwater grading. The deposit areas totaled approximately 0.27 acres, assuming an average depth of nine inches. A silt (turbidity) curtain shall be installed around each of the construction areas to contain silt disturbed during the underwater grading.
