The station will replace the existing station at Keene, approximately one mile to the east. The building will consist of a 12,770 SF single-story fire station providing the following operational components: A. Three bay drive through apparatus bays. B. Apparatus and firefighting support equipment and storage. C. Firefighter living quarters including kitchen, dayroom, locker room, exercise, laundry, and restrooms. D. A small administration area including public lobby, public restroom, captains' office, and firefighter workstations. E. Shade canopies adjacent to the exercise, dining, and apparatus bays. The project parcel (APN# 505-070-41) is 342,994 SF (7.47 AC). The area of Impervious including driveways, parking, building footprint, and building overhangs will total approximately 55,959 SF, 16.4% of the parcel. Site improvements and equipment will consist of: A. Front and rear apparatus aprons. B. 5 visitor parking spaces. C. 11 crew parking spaces. D. Emergency generator. E. Above ground fuel storage. F. Hose cleaning rack and drafting pit. G. Water storage tank serving both a domestic pressure tank and fire sprinkler pump.
