Arterial Crack Repair Improvements to serve Multiple Streets This section is not to be relied upon for bidding purposes but is intended to be a guide to the specific location in the bidding and contract documents where specific information may be found. EXISTING CONDITIONS Each Bidder shall visit the site of the project before submitting his Proposal for this work, so that he is fully informed as to the existing conditions and the obstacles which he might encounter. The Bidder shall become aware of the nature of the site and the conditions under which the work must be performed. Upon award of the Contract, the Contractor will not be granted any additional compensation with regard to time or money for conditions reasonably ascertainable from such visit and inspection. The Bidder's responsibility to perform the site visit and inspection is detailed in the Instruction to Bidder's, Article 4 CONSTRUCTION STAKING: Little or no construction staking is required for this project. The Owner will provide layout for the work, mark removals, or provide other reasonable construction staking, as needed. PROJECT INSPECTION / RESIDENT PROJECT REPRESENTATIVE: The Owner shall pay for and require full time project inspection to be performed by the City of Andover. Project inspection and the role of the project engineer and resident project representative are defined in SC-10.03. ENGINEERING TESTING for the PROJECT: The contractor shall be required to test one asphaltic concrete sample obtained from the asphalt plant for each day (4 hours or longer production run) of production for this project. All other testing shall be at the expense of the Owner. Testing will be supervised or authorized by the Engineer. The Owner reserves the right to have a full time technician at the asphalt plant to monitor plant operation and to obtain samples for testing.
