Site work for a civil project in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The pilot project will aim to determine the effectiveness of using UV light to achieve future microorganism permit limits. The purpose of the UV pilot testing is to develop information on the varying E. coli levels, and the performance of UV for E. coli inactivation. The goals of the pilot are to produce a realistic design dose for final design of a proposed new UV system. 1. Unload and install (including leveling) the Owner-furnished UV disinfection pilot system equipment (Pilot System Equipment) at the South Shore Water Reclamation Facility (SSWRF). 2. Provide and install temporary handrails, pumps, valves, and piping to pump secondary effluent to the Pilot System Equipment. Provide, install, operate, and maintain pump equipment during a six-week long pilot test at the SSWRF including, but not limited to, refilling pump fuel tanks, debris removal, algae removal, and similar maintenance for uninterrupted operation at the design flows. Provide and install piping to drain the Pilot System Equipment effluent. 3. Provide and install temporary electrical power to Pilot System Equipment and supporting equipment and materials as shown on the Electrical Site Plans and Electrical One-Line at the SSWRF per pages 342-E-1, 342-ED-1, 342-EPN-1 of the included plans 4. Provide and install an ultraviolet transmittance (UVT) analyzer, Magnetic Flowmeter, and their supporting equipment, mounting appurtenances, and materials at the SSWRF. 5. Replace UV lamps, UV lamp sleeves, and ballasts as needed during pilot tests at the SSWRF (Owner supplied equipment, allowance for services work). 6. Uninstall, clean, and reload the Pilot System Equipment at the SSWRF to the condition it was initially delivered in, for ULTRAAQUA to remove the Pilot System Equipment from the SSWRF. Uninstall, clean, and remove the temporary handrails, pumps, valves, piping, and electrical power and supporting equipment and materials at the SSWRF and restore the site to its original condition.
