the Hurricane Creek WWTP Aeration Basin Diffuser Equipment Installation This bid is for the installation of Aeration Basin Diffusers, Air Headers, Laterals, and all associated appurtenances to replace existing equipment in Aeration Basin No. 1, 2, and 3. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities or to reject any or all bids. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the bid opening. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. $250,000 to $300,000 Work Included: Contractor shall include the following scope of work for the City of Lufkin Hurricane Creek WWTP Aeration Basin Diffusers Equipment Installation and all associated appurtenances for aeration basins No. 1, 2, and 3 in their bid. Note, Contractor to coordinate with Owner on sequence of installation for each basin prior to beginning work. The work for each aeration basin is to be completed one (1) basin at a time. The diffuser equipment for a single aeration basin must be installed and operational prior to beginning work on the next basin. 1. Contractor to assist Owner with draining one (1) aeration basin. 2. Contractor to pressure wash, clean, and remove contents from the aeration basin. Sludge may be disposed of on-site at Hurricane Creek WWTP, coordinate with City personnel for disposal location. 3. Contractor to remove all existing aeration diffuser equipment down to basin floor (including, but not limited to, disc diffuser assemblies, PVC air piping, pipe supports, and anchor bolts). Owner to supply roll-off container on-site for disposal of old aeration diffuser equipment and other debris. 4. Contractor to install owner provided aeration diffuser equipment (including round disc diffuser assemblies, headers, laterals, anchor supports, moisture purge system, pressure monitoring equipment, and all associated appurtenances) and connect new diffuser equipment to existing stainless steel drop pipe from existing air supply header. i. Contractor is to inspect all equipment for any damage or defects prior to installation. If any are observed, Contractor is notify Owner immediately for replacement of the damaged or defective components. ii. Install equipment in accordance with the manufacturer's installation instructions. (Note, the manufacture installation instructions provided in this bid packet is typical for this type of equipment installation. Assembly instructions specific to this project will be provided by the manufacturer prior to delivery of equipment.)
