Plano Independent School District is requesting Competitive Sealed Proposals for: Shepton High School Elevator Replacement SCOPE OF WORK: This project includes upgrading the existing elevator system, along with electrical and lighting renovations to enhance safety and accessibility for students, staff, and visitors. Removal of Existing Elevator, Removal of existing hoistway doors, door frames and door sills and Installation (01) New Hole-less Hydraulic Telescoping Twin Piston Passenger Elevator, new 42 in center opening hoistway door panels, door frames and aluminum door sill. CONTRACT TIME: (215) days to complete the Installation Work: August 10, 2025 to March 11, 2026 Alternate 1: Removal of Existing Elevator including existing hoistway doors, door frames and door sills. Installation of (1) Traction MRL Elevator. Elevator Pit to be excavated for 5 ft. pit depth including 16 in. sump pump hole in the rear left corner adjacent to existing machine room. Provide main line disconnect at the top of the hoistway approximately 24 inches above the 2nd floor header, fuse size in accordance with the Elevator Contractor's requirements. Install 110v 20 amp disconnect at the top of the hoistway approximately 24 inches above the 2ndfloor header. Install at the top of the hoistway, (2) 4 ft. LED light fixtures to illuminate drive machine and hoistway. Top of hoistway lighting to have a switch 48 inches on left hoistway wall approximately 12 inches from from the front hoistway wall. Lighting circuit to be separate from the car lighting. The hoist beam at the top of the hoistway should be approximately 15 ft. above the 1 st floor landing sill, mounted side to side center of the hoistway. Hoistway measures 8 ft. 3 1/2 in. side to side. (2) Hoist beams to installed in hoistway to withstand 7,500 lbs. Smoke detector shall be installed at the top of the hoistway within 24 inches of the installed gearless drive machine.
