Chance. Oakland County and the successful bidder will enter into a one (3) year blanket order contract with the option to renew for two (2) additional years. These products will be used for the installation of park boardwalks, docks and other foundation systems in environmental and poor soil conditions areas. Oakland County has specialized equipment (Torque Head) for its Mini-Excavator that is designed for installation of these piers to meet a specific bearing capacity for the boardwalks and other foundation systems. This equipment (Torque Head) is not something that that can be ordered from equipment manufacturers and was designed by our current contractor and modified by our staff for additional safety of use. An equal product must match the dimensions of the existing piers, including the Helix size for bearing as described. All material must be hot dipped galvanized to ASTM 15.
