Site work and asbestos abatement for a multi-residential development in Cortland, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a multi-residential development; and for asbestos abatement for a multi-residential development.

The owner accepts the right to accept or reject all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding process. MBE/WBE/MWBE & Section 3 businesses are welcome. Scope of work: 1) Remove existing VCT flooring, flooring adhesive, and vinyl cove base in an approximately (2) 500 sq. ft. one bedroom apartment. a) Portions ofthe tile and adhesive have tested positive for asbestos in similar apartments within the building. b) The flooring to be removed is in apartment # 112 & 801 at 42 Church St. Cortland, NY 2)The abatement contractor shall provide: a) Safe removal of designated floor tile, tile adhesive, vinyl cove base and landfill disposal removed materials from said apartments. b) The apartment floor will be taken down to the original concrete as practical. c) The contractor will exercise due diligence to follow all federal state and local laws, regulation rules and ordinances that apply to this abatement. d) Apply proper safety measures to protect workers and CHA residents and staff. e) Install plastic tent /barriers around the workplace. Pull and maintain negative air on the work site as required. f) Clean up ofwork site and proper disposal of all materials. Maintain proper signage for the project. g) Copies of all documentation completed by the contractor must be provided to CHA. 3) The contractor will work with the asbestos monitoring and the air sampling contractor hired by CHA to meet the required sampling plans. 4) The contractor will carry a current license for Asbestos abatement for the state of New York and provide a copy to CHA. 5) All work is to be completed between the hours of 0700 and 1800 hrs. Monday-Friday. The job timeline is 30 days. Start and stop dates will be provided by CHA
