MONROE COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT John Young Road, Shilo Road, Lower Birdie Galyan Road, Kings Road, Rockeast Road, Elwren Road (see attached list for specific information) Optional: Flatwoods Road (see attached list for specific information) Bidder shall provide cost to furnish the asphalt mix complete laid in place for resurfacing, including all materials, milling, paving and compaction equipment, labor, supervision, and trucking. OTHER INFORMATION Copies of the Instructions to Bidders, the Specifications, and all necessary bid forms may be obtained from the Monroe County Highway Department or the Monroe County Legal Department. All Bids must be accompanied by (1) certified check, or (2) a bid bond payable to the Monroe County Treasurer, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. The certified checks and bonds of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned to them upon award of the contract to the successful bidder. All bids must include Contractor's Bid for Public Work - Form 96. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any Bid, or portion of the Bid, and to waive any irregularities in the bidding. All bids may be held for a period not to exceed 60 days, or as otherwise stated in the Contract Documents before awarding the contract. Project will be awarded to the lowest, most responsive and responsible bidder, including the optional road segment. However, if Monroe County does not choose to include the optional road segment, due to budgetary constraints, the roads outside of the Optional segment will be awarded to the lowest, most responsive and responsible bidder. All out-of-state corporations must have a certificate of authority to do business in the State.
