Eastern Kentucky University ("Owner") is soliciting proposals for our Heat Plant Smokestack Demolition project at our main campus. The scope of the project is outlined in the following information including all attachments. Within seven (7) calendar days after the notice to proceed, the contractor shall submit proposed protection measures, schedule of Building Demolition Activities, and written description of intended demolition sequence, means and methods. (Specification 024116). Within ten (10) calendar days after notice to proceed, the contractor shall have completed the Predemolition Conference with minutes posted to Owner. Roof protections shall be in place. Within fourteen (14) calendar days after the notice to proceed, the contractor shall have completed mobilization to and control of the site with all necessary signage and fencing in place, dumpsters and equipment (cranes, trucks, etc.) mobilized to the site and staged for use. Within fifteen (15) calendar days after notice to proceed demolition of the Smokestack shall be underway with daily progress. Within twenty-eight (28) calendar days after notice-to-proceed demolition of the Smokestack shall be progressed with the upper 50 feet demolished. Access to Turley House ADA ramp, and Turley House / Walters Hall parking lot to be restored. Within forty-two (42) calendar days after notice-to-proceed demolition of the Smokestack shall be progressed with the upper 100 feet demolished. Access to Kit Carson Drive and Parking to be restored.
