The City of Abbeville, SC, is soliciting from qualified companies sealed proposals for Right of Way Maintenance for the Abbeville Public Utilities Electrical System. The Distribution Right of Way is to be cleared a minimum of 12 1/2 feet from distribution lines, poles, and equipment and the Transmission Right of Way A minimum of 25 feet from transmission lines, poles, and equipment. Maintaining and cutting ground to sky clearance on all lines. Question Deadline 06/19/2025 Private property is not to be damaged by the contractor and the contractor is responsible for notifying property owners when they will need to access private property. The proposal's price should be given in cost per linear foot for both Distribution and Transmission Lines. The City of Abbeville is seeking Proposals from qualified firms to conduct Right Of Way Maintenance on its Electrical Distribution and Transmission Lines. The City of Abbeville electric system serves customers within the city limits of Abbeville, in limited areas around the City, some rural areas around Lake Secession and Lake Russell, and the Town of Lowndesville. The City has 8 substations and approximately 175 miles of distribution lines and 28 miles of Transmisson Lines System voltage is 2,400/4, 160 volts with 7,200 volt single, three phase and double circuit lines. The City provides electricity to approximately 3,400 customers. Please read all requirements of this request carefully. No electronic proposals will be accepted. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. All bidders must be bonded and insured.
