**As of July 8, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The City of Athens is seeking quotations for the rebuilding of a 12-inch G.A. Valve. The selected vendor shall perform all field service work to remove and transport valve, supply all required parts and materials to fully rebuild the main valve portion of a 12-inch G.A. valve, and return to install the rebuilt valve located at the Athens Municipal Water Authority Raw Water Intake located on Lake Athens, TX. Contractors will be required to have and maintain Statutory Workers' Compensation Insurance, and Commercial General Liability insurance with limits of not less than $500,000 per occurrence and $1,000,000 aggregate prior to starting work. The City reserves the right to establish that these insurance requirements are met and complied with prior to any contractual agreement being entered into. The cost of such insurance is the service provider's responsibility. Failure to comply could result in non-award of the contract. The City reserves the right to cancel the agreement for default of all or any part of the undelivered portion of the order if Vendor breaches any of the terms hereof including warranties or becomes insolvent or commits acts of bankruptcy. Such right of cancellation is in addition to and not in lieu of any remedies, which the City may have in law or equity. MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS: 1. Remove valve and transport to repair facility 2. Tear down and inspect valve 3. Rebuild with new repair kit, replace pilot tubing and isolation valves with new, replace solenoid valves 4. Pilot tubing shall be stainless steel 5.
