Question Deadline 06/03/2025 Bidders should contact the Engineer not less than 72 hours before bid opening. This project includes removing sediment from the interior of the elevated storage tank (EST); blasting and recoating the exterior of the EST bowl, roof, access hatches, handrails, and access tube not exposed to potable water; application of a new logo to match the existing; blasting and recoating of the interior of the EST bowl, access tube exposed to potable water, and the EST piping exposed to potable water; blasting and recoating the existing 16-inch dresser coupling; blasting and recoating the existing 16-inch butterfly valve; and disinfection and bacteriological testing of the EST. The bidder shall submit either a five percent (5%) bid bond of the maximum total bid amount. Make the bid bond payable to the Owner. Bidder must be capable of executing a satisfactory performance bond and payment bond for 100 percent (100%) of the contract sum in accord with the conditions of the contract. Substantial Completion for all Base Bid items of work shall be achieved within no more than the time stated on the bid form. Final Completion shall be achieved within no more than 30 calendar days from date of Substantial Completion. AWARD OF CONTRACT The Owner is not obligated to accept the lowest bid or any bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in bids or in bidding. The Owner may accept any bid deemed advantageous. The contract award may include full consideration of unit prices, alternates, and time of completion. No bid may be withdrawn until the expiration of 60 calendar days from the date bids are open.
