This Project consists of retrofitting an existing dry stormwater detention basin into a wet retention basin with additional stormwater management volume. The project also includes removal of existing chain link fencing, trees, vegetation and accumulated debris. In addition to the pond grading, the project includes installation of new fencing, pond control structure and revegetation of the project. The pond site is in a residential neighborhood located adjacent to the Southern Railroad and Louisa Street. St. Louis Court and Windwood Place cul-de-sacs are adjacent to the work area. The existing facility is a dry pond and does not meet the City's water quality standards and does not provide quantity management. Currently the pond is not connected to the storm sewer infrastructure of the nearby neighborhoods as it was disconnected at some point in the last half century. Work called for consists of furnishing and installing equipment, materials, labor, etc. as needed for a complete and proper installation of the proposed improvements in accordance with the plans and specifications. To accommodate the stormwater pond retrofit, a sanitary sewer line will be required to be relocated.
