Demolition, site work and addition to a mixed-use development in Cove Creek, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the addition of a playground / park / athletic field; for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and educational facility.
The sports field located at 175 Dale Adams Road, Sugar Grove, NC, was destroyed by Helene flood waters in 2025. This project includes rebuilding the sports field, walking track, wellhouse, playground, pavilion, pickleball and basketball courts, and the addition of a public restroom building. In accordance with NCGS 143-64.31, Watauga County requests statement of qualifications from qualified persons or firms for the design and construction administration services for the Old Cove Creek School Sports Field Project. Comprehensive services required include, but are not limited to, surveying and civil, landscape and structural design. The County intends to utilize the design, bid and build method of project procurement.
