130,000 GPD Reclaimed Water Facility Inside WWTF and 12-Inch Reclaimed Water Distribution Line within Harris-Fort Bend Counties Municipal Utility District No. 3, Harris County, Texas. Installing a reclaimed water system to irrigate adjacent park. Includes disc filter, effluent storage pond, non-potable pumps, booster pumps, etc. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid bond or a certified or cashier's check, acceptable to the Owner, inan amount not less than two percent (2%) of the total amount Bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidderwill enter into the Contract Documents and execute the Bonds on the forms provided and provide therequired insurance certificates and Bonds within seven (7) days after the date Contract Documents arereceived by the successful bidder. If a certified or cashier's check is provided, the successful bidder shalldeliver, at the bid opening address, the original certified or cashier's check within one (1) business day ofreceipt of the bid opening. By submitting a Bid, bidder acknowledges and agrees that the Contract Documents may be accepted, executed, or agreed to using an Electronic Signature, as defined by and in accordance with Owner's Electronic Signature Rules for Construction Contracts. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive all defects and irregularities in bidding or bidding process except the time for submitting a Bid. The successful bidder, if any, will be the responsible bidder, which in the Board's judgment will be most advantageous to the District and result in the best and most economical completion of the Project. The requirements of Subchapter J, Chapter 552, Government Code, may apply to this Bid and the bidder agrees that the Contract Documents can be terminated if the bidder knowingly or intentionally fails to comply with a requirement of that subchapter. a. Under this Contract, Contractor shall furnish all materials, appliances, tools, equipment, transportation, services, and all labor and superintendence necessary for the construction of the Work as described in these Technical Specifications and as shown on the Plans. The completed installation shall not lack any part that can be reasonably implied as necessary to its proper functioning or any subsidiary item that is customarily furnished, and Contractor shall deliver the installation to Owner in operating condition. b. The Work, in general, under this Contract includes the purchase, installation, and construction of all structures, equipment, and materials, including appurtenances, as indicated on the Plans. Major items of construction and services required are designated as follows: (1) Install yard piping within the WWTF site for both potable and non-potable water lines under, both, pressurized and non-pressurized conditions including all necessary pipe fittings, connections, valves and appurtenances; (2) Construct manholes and "poo-pit" manhole; (3) Furnish and install pumps with all necessary reinforced concrete pads and piping; (4) Construct "sandtrap" structure; (5) Furnish and install disk filter with all necessary piping and reinforced concrete pad; (6) Construct bleach building and install all bleach dosing equipment; (7) Excavate storage pond and provide concrete pilot channel, concrete along the highbank, floatable collection structure, HDPE liner and tarp cover; (8) Regrade ditches and grade the site per the drawings, (9) Remove and replace cedar fence as shown on exhibit. A. This section specifies the requirements for the manufacture, warranty, service and operation of a prefabricated, skid mounted, fully automatic fixed speed pumping system for non potable water. The booster system shall be designed to connect to proposed suction and discharge lines as shown on drawings and be capable of automatically providing a minimum system pressure. B. The booster system shall be a factory prefabricated unit with all interconnecting piping and wiring completed and operationally tested prior to shipment. The only field connections required will be system suction and discharge headers and the power connections at the control panel. The contractor will furnish all labor, materials, and equipment required to provide two (2) self-contained Nuove Energie Ultrascreen(R) Gen3 Model UY1351 disk filters, complete with integrated spray wash systems for cleaning. The disk filter unit will be capable of filtering solids from the influent wastewater to meet the criteria described in this section.
