Bid is cancelled Provide all materials, equipment, and labor for the Bocce Ball Court Restoration at Central Park. No Questions will be accepted after: 12:00 p.m. (EST) Tuesday, May 27th, 2025 All questions are to be asked via Bonfire under Opportunity Q&A No questions are to be asked outside of Bonfire The objective is to restore the Bocce courts to suitable playing conditions and visually pleasing aesthetics. The work will include the demolition, removal of the existing bocce ball courts, followed by site grading, replacement of edging timbers, and installation of new sod. 3.2.1 Work Schedule o Contractorshall coordinate with the Project Manager to establish a detailed schedule prior to commencing the Work. o Schedule shall indicate: a.) The first date on-site. b.) Work activity durations of each trade, broken out by phase. c.) Work that will cause an increased level of disruption. d.) Any information or coordination with the County and its service providers. e.) All facility infrastructure interruptions (electrical/water/gas/network, etc.). 3.2.2 Site Description o The site includes 4 bocce ball courts, each measuring 60 ft (L) x 12.5 ft(W). o One 6 ft wide concrete sidewalk divides the courts in half. o The overall project area, including both sides of the sidewalk, is approximately 60 ft x 56 ft. o The final sodded area should extend 5 ft beyond the currently existing courts, for a complete final area totaling approximately 65 ft x 60 ft. 3.2.3 Demolition o Remove all existing 6 x 6 pressure-treated timber edging around courts. o Remove existing turf from the area. o The existing concrete sidewalk dividing the courts will remain and is NOT to be demolished. o The contractor is responsible for hauling off debris at the end of each day (either by dumpster or dump truck). 3.2.4 Grading and Preparation o Grade the area smoothly to match existing sidewalk elevation. o Add approximately 2 inches of masonry sand to level and reach proper grade. o Ensure the entire graded area is suitable for sod installation. 3.2.5 Lumber Installation o Install new 6x6 pressure-treated lumber for renovated area edging. a. Required materials: Pressure-treated lumber: 1) 30 pieces - 12 ft long 2) 4 pieces - 8 ft long (to be cut to 7 ft for ADA-compliant opening near building) 3) 4 pieces - 16 ft long (to be cut to 12.5 ft for end connections across court) b. Required material: Fasteners: 1) Exterior-grade screws for lumber connection at joints to hold together. 2) 8-inch lag screws/bolts for securing 90 joints. 3.2.6 Sod Installation o Sod area: 65 ft x 60 ft, including area beyond the courts. o Use Bermuda sod to match existing park turf and leveling with sidewalks. o Apply a layer of masonry sand as needed to smooth area before sod
