Site work for a water / sewer project in Durango, Colorado. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
**As of July 23,2025, the project is on hold. No definite date for the rebid.** Generally, the work under this contract includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools & supplies, transportation, safety equipment and other items necessary for the improvements to the SRWRF Septage Receiving Station. Work includes: 1. Mobilization: Mobilization of all personnel, equipment, and supplies to the project site in preparation for work. This includes any necessary facilities, utilities, supplies, storage, submittals, permits, bonds, licenses/certifications, and all other costs incurred and/or labor and operations required for completion of the Contract but for which there is no specific pay item 2. General Items: Potholing, installation of flowable fill, and removal of underground structures. a. The Contractor shall be responsible for the location of all utility lines, including service lines, both horizontally and vertically. The cost of protecting existing utilities, and minor adjustments to the proposed improvements to accommodate existing utilities, shall be considered incidental. b. Potholing may be necessary to locate existing utilities. If so, the pot-holing hourly rate shall include all costs associated with Hydro or Air -Vac excavations to confirm locations and determine depths of existing crossing or parallel gas, power, communication, water or other utilities. Include the cost of procurement, shipping, handling, labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to determine locations of buried utility lines and necessary adjustments to the vertical alignment of pipelines; Recording depth and location of utility lines in conflict; Temporary filling of holes with Class 6 ABC to enable public use and eliminate jobsite hazards; removal and legal disposal of all excess material. Storm and sanitary sewers can be determined from manholes and / or catch basins. Damage to all utilities shall be avoided. Overall depths for potholes shall not exceed the depth of project installations. Potholing plan is to be approved in advance by the Project Manager.
