Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Alder Flats, Alberta. Working plans call for the construction of a 6,300-square-foot, two-story above grade fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

Apparatus bays, consisting of three (3), double stacked bays of approximately 4,300 square feet (each drive through bay approximately 20' x 70') and a ceiling clearance height of eighteen (18') feet Approximately 2,000 square feet of office space to include (in addition to apparatus bays): One (1) large training room for approximately thirty (30) firefighters; One (1) janitors' closet; One (1) storage room; One (1) gear room with lockers for twenty (20) firefighters and access from the office area and the apparatus floor; One (1) tool room/crib; One (1) men's and women's washrooms each with a shower; One (1) office; and One (1) mechanical room; Construction drawings stamped by an Alberta Registered Engineer; Six (6), 16' x 16' commercial overhead doors; Stamped, pre-engineered, commercial prefabricated trusses; Onsite surface water drainage will be via the existing ditch Electrical Trench electrical service underground to the appropriate location; Energy efficient LED light fixtures throughout; An appropriate number of 12 - 15A / 120V receptacles throughout the shop; Six (6) receptacles, mounted on the ceiling to provide "shore power" for the apparatus; Mechanical Trench natural gas service underground to the appropriate location (located in the ditch along the east ditch of Range Road 64); Floor drains to be installed in each apparatus bay to run the full bay length. Plumbed air lines to be located near the apparatus bay ceiling receptacles. Parking Lot and Concrete Aprons - Optional (deletable) Concrete aprons extending out forty (40)' from all apparatus doors and the full width of the apparatus bays; Gravel parking lot of 100'x100'; Gravel driving area extending 20' beyond exterior concrete work; Graded to promote positive drainage away from the building and off the driving area; 12" of 2-20, compacted to 100% SPD, base gravel compacted into the base and 4" of 4-20, compacted to 100% SPD, spec surface gravel applied on top - Gravel will be provided by the County; and Base should be constructed of a minimum of 300mm of compacted clay to 98% compaction.
