The Pulteney Fire District is accepting bids for the remodeling of the bathrooms at the firehouse located at 8891 Brown Road in the Town of Pulteney. Along with the Bid, each submitter shall provide a detailed list of items called for in the specification that they cannot meet or would like modified. Bids will be opened and awarded at the Districts monthly meeting on July 7, 2025 at 7:30pm. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The contractor that wins the bid will be asked to enter into a contract with the District. All work is to be completed between January 1, 2026 and March 31, 2026 Replacement of the existing wall coverings with washable/sanitary materials o Replacement of existing floor covering with durable materials for high traffic use o Replacement of all fixtures with equal or higher quality products o Men's room: 1-Toilet, 1-Handicap Toilet, 1-Sink, 1-Urinal o Women's room: 1-Toilet, 1-Handicap Toilet, 2-Sinks o Replace existing wall mounted dispensers (paper towel, soap and add sanitizer dispenser in each room) o Auto-On/Off units (toilets and sinks), should be called out as an upgrade in the quote as an option to standard replacement items. o Replacement of all partitions with high quality washable and durable materials with proper handicap equipment in two stalls. o Upgrade lighting as needed or as required by current building codes o Replace existing light switches with auto-sensing switches o Ceiling replacement is optional depending upon the impact of any lighting upgrades Painting: o Wall paint color to be selected by owner o No replacement of the current ventilation is needed o No additional power requirement is needed o Door Hardware for entry doors to both rooms does not have to have locks but, must have ADA compliant handles o The new flooring is to be finished with a water-based environmentally friendly wax o All public use areas, except for the restrooms, must be usable at the end of each workday. o Any damage seen by the contractor(s) before commencing work must be called out to the owner or it will be assumed that the contractor(s) caused the damage during the construction, and they will be held responsible for remediation of that damage o By signing below, the bidder confirms that that he/she has read, understood, bid, and will complete the project according to the specifications called out in this document, and that they agree to meet or exceed all Federal, State and Local codes and requirements. Bidder also confirms by his/her signature that all required insurance coverage will be provided by the contractor(s) during the construction period.
