The Work of this project shall consist of a Single Construction Contract including but not limited to the following: 1. General Construction. 2. Mechanical Construction, including: Plumbing, Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning. 3. Electrical Construction, including: Power, Lighting, Communication, and Fire Safety The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive all informalities and irregularities in connection therewith if the same is judged to be in their best interests, and to make a selection, including that of any Alternate Bids, that in their judgment is best suited for the purpose intended for the project. The Bid Security shall be enclosed in a separate envelope, bearing Bidder's name, endorsed as follows: BID SECURITY PROJECT NO. 2025-057 - DECATUR COUNTY HOSPITAL - CHILD CARE CENTER, LEON, IA (Bidders shall submit duplicate copies of the Bid Security). Each Bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security in a separate sealed envelope, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid (including Alternates), as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award of contract a Performance Bond & Material and Labor Payment Bond, in form acceptable to the Owner, for the faithful performance of the contract, in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the amount of the proposal. The bidder's security shall be in the form of a cashier's check, a certified check, or a bank money order drawn on a FDIC insured bank in Iowa or on a FDIC insured bank chartered under the laws of the United States; or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States; or a bid bond on AIA Document A310 with corporate surety satisfactory to the Owner. The bid shall contain no condition except as provided in the specifications. All Proposals and Bid Securities must have original signatures. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject bids in whole or in part. The Bidder shall include all requested Forms and attachments with their submission of the Bid Form; failure to comply may be cause for rejection. No modification of submitted bids will be permitted in any form. On-site mobilization and construction shall begin no sooner than July 1, 2025. The Owner requires substantial completion for the project by April 24th, 2026. Final completion within seven (7) calendar days of the substantial completion date.
