Site work for a water / sewer project in Cherokee, Oklahoma. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Project includes the following Work: Construction of 190 LF of 2-inch, and 477 LF of 6-inch, and 1368 LF of 6-inch HDPE DIPS DR13.5 waterline in locations A, B, and C respectively due to ODOT widening of US-64. Work includes valves, flush hydrants, 6-inch and 12-inch bored steel casing, connections to existing waterlines, meter sets, testing and disinfection, and other appurtenances necessary for a complete and working installation. All work shall be complete and operational, including all testing, training, warranty and start-up services and all other work necessary to complete the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents. Each bidder shall accompany his original bid, filed with the Alfalfa County Rural Water District with a certified or Cashier's Check on a solvent bank located in Oklahoma, or a Bidder's Bond, in the amount of five (5) percent of the amount bid, as a guarantee of his ability to perform the contract bid upon, and that he will enter into a written contract with the Owner to perform said work and/or furnish said materials in accordance with said Plans and Specifications, and furnish the required bonds according to the Oklahoma laws governing competitive bidding. The Owner will retain the deposit for liquidated damages in case the successful bidder fails to enter in said contract and furnish the required bonds provided for in the specifications within the time required. Deposit of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned upon the execution of the Contract and required bonds. Construction, Maintenance and Statutory Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price are required for this project. These bonds must be obtained from a Corporate Surety licensed in Oklahoma. The bidder shall state in the proposal the name and address of the Surety or Sureties who will sign this bond in case the contract is awarded. The Maintenance Bond required will guarantee the repair of all damage due to improper materials or workmanship for a period of one (1) year after the acceptance of the work by the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities in the bids and bidding deemed to be in the best interests of the Owner, and to reject nonconforming, nonresponsive, or conditional bids. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating the price in the bids, the Owner reserves the right to consider the most advantageous construction thereof, or to reject the bid. Unreasonable or unbalanced unit prices will be considered sufficient cause of rejection of any bid or bids. Bids must remain in effect for 60 days after the bid opening date. Within 60 days from the bid date, the Owner may award the contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder or reject any or all bids for the project. Contractor shall complete all Work as specified or indicated in the Contract Documents. The Work is generally described as follows: Relocation of water line in 3 locations along State Highway 64 as follows; Line A - 110 Linear Feet of 2" HDPE DR13.5 pipe by trenching and 80 Linear Feet 2" HDPE DR13.5 pipe with 6" steel encasement by jack and bore; Line B - 377 Linear Feet of 6" HDPE DR13.5 pipe by trenching and 100 Linear Feet of 6" HDPE DR13.5 pipe with 12" steel encasement by jack and bore; Line C - 1,368 Linear Feet of 6" HDPE DR13.5 pipe by trenching.
