The Contractor shall complete all works to the point of substantial completion described herein and on the Contract Drawings. It is anticipated that Contract Award will occur in July 2025. Therefore, it will be understood that the project working time allotted of 22 weeks will commence following mobilization of equipment and manpower to site by the Contractor based on a start date no later than July 14, 2025. Substantial completion shall be performed by December 15, 2025. Each Bid submission must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond to be retained by the Consulting Engineer for an amount of at least 10 percent (10%) of the total Bid price made payable to Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation. This contract is subject to the approval of Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation. The lowest or any Bid will not necessarily be accepted. Prior to execution of a contract with the Owner, the Contractor will be required to furnish to the Owner a performance bond in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the total Bid price and a separate payment bond in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the total Bid price. The full cost of these bonds is deemed to be included in the total Bid price for the project.
