Background these replacements and repairs will help ensure the safety of the pedestrians and residents of Beaufort County as they conduct required business with the County This scope of work outlines the requirements and procedures for replacing existing sidewalks and ADA Ramps. All work shall be performed and completed in accordance with South Carolina Department of Transportation Standard Specifications. Remove and replace non-compliant ADA Ramps to meet ADA standards and install detectable warning mats to existing slope compliant ADA Ramps to meet ADA Standards The contractor is responsible for the removal of the old sidewalk, site preparation, provide all materials for the installation of the new sidewalks and ramps, Disposal of debris and site cleanup Quantities are approximate and should be verified by the contractor per each map provided in the documents. Sidewalk and Ramp removal and replacement in high Traffic areas of the county may require weekend work, not to interfere with County operations and the safety to the public.
