Waukee Community Schools including all materials, labor and equipment necessary for installation of approximately: 5,865 lf of 12 SM fiber optic cable, 18,855 lf of 72 SM fiber optic cable, 10,135 lf of 2" HDPE, 18 each of handholes, building entrances and related appurtenances located between Waukee Northwest High School, Vince Meyer Learning Center, Waukee Stadium, and Waukee High School. The site will be available starting July 14, 2025, for commencement of work. Final completion of the work shall be by November 1, 2025, subject to any changes in the contract period as provided for in these specifications and granted by the Board of Directors of the Waukee Community School District. Each Bidder shall accompany the Bid with a Bid security, in a separate envelope, as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award of the contract corporate surety bond or bonds, acceptable to the Owner, for the faithful performance of the contract, in an amount equivalent to one hundred percent of the amount of the contract. The bidder's security shall be in an amount equivalent to 5% of the bid amount, and shall be in the form of a cashier's or certified check drawn on a bank in Iowa or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States of America, or a certified bank share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States of America or a bid bond with corporate surety satisfactory to the Owner Bidders shall be prepared to submit a performance bond and payment bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract conditioned on the faithful performance of the contract and a maintenance bond as required by the contract documents. Out-of-state bidders shall be prepared to submit an Out-of-State Contractor Bond to the Iowa Division of Labor in accordance with Chapter 91C of the Code of Iowa. All bids will be governed by applicable provisions in the Iowa Code and Waukee Community School District. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and waive informalities and irregularities in the bidding to the extent allowed by law.
