Renovation of a multi-residential development in Bayonne, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

Replacement of VCT Tiles at All Public Housing Sites Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond issued by a New Jersey Licensed Surety Company which is listed in the most recently published U.S. Treasury Circular No. 570, or by certified check in the amount called for in the Specifications, made out to the Housing Authority of the City of Bayonne. Bids must also be accompanied by the affidavits, etc., referred to in the Instructions to Bidders. Regardless of whether a Bid Bond or Certified Check is submitted for bid guarantee, each bidder must submit a Consent of Surety also from a New Jersey Licensed Surety Company which is listed in the most recently published U.S. Replacement of VCT Tiles at All Public Housing SitesEach Bidder must submit, with its Bid, security in the amount indicated below. No bidder may withdraw its Bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the actual date of opening thereof without the consent of the Authority. Amount of Bid Bid Guarantee Up to $200,000 10% of Bid $200,000 to $400,000 $20,000 Over $400,000 5% of Bid All Bidders are hereby notified that compliance with the most recently published and applicable Davis-Bacon Wage Requirements will be required in the performance of any contract awarded. All Bidders are hereby notified that compliance with the business registration provisions of P.L. 2004, c. 57, as subsequently amended by P.L. 2009, c. 315, will be required at time of bid submission or thereafter in the performance of any contract awarded. The successful Bidder will be required to obtain a Performance Bond for the full amount of the Contract and a Maintenance Bond for a percentage of the construction cost as defined in the specifications, both from a New Jersey Licensed Surety Company which is listed in the most recently published U.S. Treasury Circular No. 570. The Authority reserves the right to waive any informality in any bid or bids, to reject any and all bids, and to accept such bid or bids and to make such awards as may be in the best interest of the Authority. Bids will be awarded only to the corporation or other entity in whose name the qualifications or other documentation is submitted. Corporate affiliates, subsidiary or parent corporations or related entities are not automatically qualified. ** Bid date info : Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Authority, as directed by the Specifications. Envelopes shall contain, on the exterior, the designation of the contract for which the bid is entered, and the name, address and telephone number of the Bidder. An original and two (2) copies should be submitted. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools and services necessary to complete the work as specified herein and as required. The Contractor shall obtain all permits and approvals from authorities having jurisdiction and pay all fees required for the installation of the work. The scope of work shall include, but not be limited to, the following principal items of work: 1. Protection of all existing building elements, site elements, building occupants, visitors and employees. Contractor shall be solely responsible for construction safety means and methods and access into the occupied building. 2. Selective demolition. Patch and fill all surfaces as needed to prepare for new work. 3. Restore all damaged surfaces or finishes resulting from the work. 4. Secure all needed permits, perform all necessary testing, and coordinate all required safety procedures related to the work. 5. Supply and install new resilient flooring and rubber cove base. 6. Supply and install new rubber stair treads. 7. Paint stair railings. 8. Contractor shall coordinate with BHA for schedules, access requirements and timing of all work.
