Any bids received after this date and time will be returned unopened. 1 Bids shall be submitted in a sealed envelope and clearly marked: SEALED BID STRUBLER PARK PLAYGROUND REPLACEMENT OPEN 10 AM JUNE 18, 2025. The Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities to serve the best interest of the Park District. The lowest bid will be determined by reference to the Base Bid, the Base Bid and Alternates or any combination thereof as determined by the District to be in its best interests. Such decisions shall be final and not subject to recourse. 1. A bid bond is not required for this project. 2. If a bid is accepted, a Surety Bond (aka Performance and Labor & Material Payment Bond), payable to the Sugar Grove Park District, for not less than one hundred (100%) percent of the contract amount will be required prior to beginning construction. A Surety Bond, payable to the Sugar Grove Park District, for not less than one hundred (100%) percent of the contract amount is required by Statute prior to begin-ning construction on all projects where the Contract Sum is $150,000 or more, and may be required for projects $150,000 or less at the discretion of the Sugar Grove Park District. Such bonds shall include the provision guaranteeing the faithful performance of the Prevailing Wage Act. It is anticipated that the contract will be awarded in July, 2025. The Park District reserves the right to reject any non-responsive or non-responsible Bids or to reject all bids and waive any informality or technical-ity in any Bid in the interest of the Park District. Scope of Work: The following tasks are included in the base bid: 1 Note - The Contractor IS NOT responsible for the purchase of the play equipment to be installed in this bid. The contractor will be required to take delivery of equipment prior to starting the installation. Contractor Scope 1. Contractor shall enter into the Contract in the form attached hereto. 2. Contractor shall install Landscape Structures playground equipment at Strubler Park in strict accordance with manufacturer's specifications and any installation guides included with equipment delivery. 3. Contractor shall have a current or have held a CPSI (Certified Playground Safety Inspector), for the last certificate period. A copy of the certificate shall be submitted with the bid. 4. Contractor shall schedule in coordination with the owner, an onsite pre-construction meeting to review and discuss any unique aspects with regard to the project site including but not limited to; existing conditions, safety concerns, environmental considerations, project details, scope of work, solicitation of documents, etc. 5. Contractor shall coordinate with Supplier for equipment delivery. Contractor shall be responsible for inventories, concealed damages, shortages, etc. found after the contractor accepts delivery at the contractor's agreed upon secure location. 6. Contractor shall acknowledge that the Park District will be removing the existing equipment and existing underground concrete footers but will not be further excavating the site or setting grade. 7. No earlier than 5 days to the start of construction, in coordination with the Owner, Contractor shall provide temporary enclosure of worksite with free-standing chain-link temporary fencing: (Temporary Panel Fence 8. Contractor shall provide a clean construction site with all tools, hardware, small components and miscellaneous supplies locked up in a temporary mobile (wheeled) lockable storage container or stored off site. 9. Contractor shall provide own water source and shall be clean, and free from salt, oil, or organic substances.
